Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye

On Tuesday June 2 with heavy hearts and yet a few smiles we farewelled Mike Bain. His family and friends inevitably mention his wicked sense of humour along with his many fine qualities!
In the words of our president Arthur Grimes…
“Mike, himself a fine musician, gave enormous service to the club. He has been the club’s President and Treasurer, membership coordinator, mentor and repository of knowledge. The club would not exist without his efforts. He has ensured that the club is on a sound financial footing which enables us to bring such high quality musicians to perform for our members. We are deeply saddened by his passing and he will be sorely missed by all. For me, at every gig to come, I’ll say ‘thanks’ to Mike.”

Welcome to the Wellington Jazz Club
Wellington Jazz Club (Inc) is dedicated to the promotion of live jazz in Wellington. The Club usually meets monthly on the third Sunday of the month at Meow Cafe, 9 Edward Street, Wellington, and its Gigs are open to the public. An affordable bar and food is also available. To book go to https://meow.flicket.co.nz. Members have a priority period to book tickets. Book tickets or purchase tickets at the door (cash only) which are usually available subject to demand, however seating options may be limited.
Wellington Jazz Club’s gigs normally begin at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The musicians and vocalists at our events are selected for the quality of their performances.
